However, as Eltnen was never historically a stronghold for their race, their individual efforts quickly hit a wall, forcing most Creion to abandon the wasteland. Yet, a researcher named Malgerre refused to leave, determined to perfect a way to save Eltnen. Continuing his work alone in a small cave, Malgerre’s obsession eventually drove him to use his own body as a test subject. Tragically, the experiment ended in catastrophic failure, mutating him into a hideous monster.
