"They were only doing what they could to survive." Bradi, a former member of the Golden Branch Brigade, is deeply troubled by a rumor that his old comrade-in-arms, Hilsrother, is now leading a band of marauders. Further investigation confirmed that this Hilsrother was one and the same. The Golden Branch Brigade had suffered a devastating defeat against the Balaur, reducing Hilsrother and other members tosuch vagrancy as stealing from Shugo in order to survive. Bradi vowed to tell the world about the terrible tragedy that befell his comrades.
