A temporary base for Kromede, back when she was still active in Morheim. Abandoned ever since Kromede claimed the Sky Island as her base, it is now occupied by servants of Fafnir bewitched by the Domination Stone.
When the Ishtar Legion laid waste to Eltnen, the Life Daeva paid a heavy toll in blood. Those who survived withdrew to hidden outposts, quietly working to restore their ruined home. But as the Lepharists invaded, the last of the Life Daeva were forced into hiding and ultimately disappeared. Though this cave once sheltered them, it now stands empty and forgotten, stripped of its original purpose.
A place where the Nornir Priestess Soirel would revere the memory of the dead with the believers. But a sudden attack by the Balaur took the souls of all those present, and the memorial was closed. Now no one visits this place anymore.
This is one of the few places with Odylium on Verteron, though the Odylium may have been exhausted. They cause trouble by stealing and raiding the nearby Notos Legion bases. They also attack the Spirits traveling to and from the bottom of the Canyon, causing the Spirits to become violent.
The battle at the Nahid Brigade Fortress ended in total defeat for the Daeva. Many were captured or succumbed to extinction, and what few survived went into hiding in places such as the Cave of the Defeated.
This cave is where the defeated guardians hid from the Balaur chasers after fighting them. It holds the records of the Guardians of Verteron, who fought a fierce battle against the Ishtar Brigade. The Guardians eventually met their end in this cave.

Most of its inhabitants were either murdered for resisting or processed as materials for Fafnite, leaving behind a cursed legacy that deters anyone from approaching the area.

Continuing his work alone in a small cave, Malgerre’s obsession eventually drove him to use his own body as a test subject. Tragically, the experiment ended in catastrophic failure, mutating him into a hideous monster.
The hiding place of Dehinon, both Daeva and non-Daeva. Kidnapped and taken to the Nahid Brigade's base, he managed to escape in the process of being turned into a Sura. Having hidden in the cave with his comrades, he is slowly losing his sanity.
