"I'm afraid something bad has happened..." The barrier safeguarding Patamor Village against the Balaur relies on the power of a Barrierstone installed by Skuld and Verdandi. According to Adelina, the elemental energy within the Barrierstone occasionally weakens, requiring regular patrols by the village vigilante group. However, the most recent patrol had missed their check-in. Inspecting the Barrierstone with Adelina, it was discovered to have been destroyed in a Balaur attack, with the bodies of vigilante members scattered nearby. But not all was lost. A handful of survivors, including Adelina's husband, seemingly survived and fled. With no time to waste, you pressed on toward their suspected hideout.
