"He's just one man in the end. There are three of us." The overwhelming power emanating from the Floating Temple of Arkanis prompted Nemon to urge caution. Kromede, however, urged everyone to make haste by eliminating any and all obstacles in the way, especially seeing as how the enemy was alone. At the top floor of the Floating Temple the party finally encountered Sigebert, who had already claimed the Ascension Artifact. You charged toward him, intent on seizing it-but that was when the Artifact began resonating with a mysterious voice that paralyzed everyone—save for Kromede. Oblivious to the situation, Kromede used this opportunity to draw her bow and shoot the Artifact, hoping to knock it out of everyone's reach. Though her aim was true, it sent the Artifact plummeting far below to the distant ground. This unexpected little stunt broke the Artifact's hold on everyone. But Sigebert, whose obsession with the Artifact rivaled even Kromede's, dove after the Artifact as soon as it plummeted-with Kromede close behind.
