Now, he finally had the chance to knock that arrogant woman down a peg, and he was relishing every second of it. Ever since she showed up in the village, everyone had been sucking up to her, scrambling to do whatever she asked at the wag of a finger. Just the thought of seeing that cold, bossy face twist in panic filled him with anticipation. The plan was proceeding without a hitch. He submitted a fabricated report showing that Odyle Jelly usage was suspiciously high, but Nemon showed little interest and just told him to go investigate. VeKauf put together a list of fake suspects, comprised of a mix of Nemon's biggest fans and detractors. In the process, he even managed to uncover the location of Nemon's precious Odyle Jelly stash. "To catch a bug, we'll need sweet honey." When Nemon appeared, calm as ever, Ulgorn did not immediately catch on. As that weasel VeKauf begged for his life, it seemed the whole traitorous bunch had been caught. Choking from smoke, Ulgorn demanded an explanation, and learned it had all been a trap directed by Nemon from the start. Ulgorn fumed at being used as bait without his consent, but Nemon was already walking away like nothing happened. "That's Nemon for you. Always a step ahead of everyone." Ulgorn trudged after her, secretly hoping she might one day tip him off to the real Odyle Jelly stash.
