The villagers are wary of outsiders.

"The villagers are wary of outsiders." The area surrounding Safe Haven has been contaminated ever since the Dredgion crashed. Ulgorn explained that an ordinary human like him could not survive outside the village without a neutralizer. With a dangerous investigation ahead, proper preparation was essential. The quartermasters were reluctant to issue you any equipment. They feared contamination from anyone coming in from outside the village and were especially suspicious of the unusual treatment Nemon had shown you. Thanks to Ulgorn's intervention, however, their concerns were put to rest, and they agreed to provide the necessary supplies. Ulgorn asked for your understanding, explaining that the village had been isolated for a long time. Dwindling resources and years of hardship had made its people deeply distrustful of outsiders.
