"We should test it out before leaving." The Selvis is an essential device used for long-distance communication. Before setting out in pursuit of the broker, you first needed to repair the damaged Selvis. Once the repairs were complete, Hadala's voice crackled through the Selvis, urging you to make haste. Meanwhile, Dinoh, one of the village's more talkative residents, warmly welcomed you despite your outsider status and even gifted you a mount for your journey.
